The future of MedTech

The implementation of new technologies concerns many areas of our life: automation of work processes, communications, leisure, and medicine. In medicine, implementation is not so dynamic due to the fact that it takes a lot of time for testing and research that require confirmation of safety.

Many processes in the field of medicine are fully or partially automated. Over the past decade, there has been a great leap forward in patient imaging and diagnostic studies, as well as in minimally invasive medicine. Currently, many abdominal surgeries, after which months of rehabilitation were previously required, have been replaced by minimally invasive ones. Such operations do not injure a person and facilitate the rehabilitation period.

Nowadays, medicine is moving towards greater mobility for the patient, accessibility, and completeness of the solution to the problem.
As for the completeness of the solution to the problem, now an important factor is getting a full cycle of medical services, at one entry point:

  • initial inspection;
  • establishing diagnosis;
  • carrying out the operation.

Previously, to solve a problem related to, for example, ENT diseases or injuries, it took a whole day (or even more) for communication with medical workers at several different points, examination, diagnosis, obtaining a referral for an operation, etc. The details of this entire process may be different from country to country, but there are no fundamental differences.

We want to demonstrate a general trend in medicine using ENT harvester. The essence of the trend is a complete solution to a patient’s problem in one place. The composition of such a product presupposes the availability of tools for an initial examination, diagnosis, and treatment. This approach creates new value for the patient, saving an irreplaceable resource, time while preserving his health.

We are convinced that approaches to the creation of combined systems, where the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the patient are carried out at one point, will develop. Systems will become more complex, diagnostic capabilities will expand, and the complexity of operations will increase. This will provide an opportunity for a complete solution to health problems in one place with the least amount of time.

To create a successful medical product with a high degree of novelty, it is necessary to combine teams with cross-competencies in different areas. The main role is played by the participation of specialists in use and application (medical practitioners) and product managers deeply immersed in the topic of medical products.

Our team has extensive experience in the management and implementation of such projects. We learned how to integrate a large number of specialists from different fields, form agreements, and ensure the process of project implementation to the final product.
